  • Submit Request

    To start the process, click on the "Get Started" button below to provide your contact information and a little note about what you are looking for. I will then reach out to you to collect high-resolution images of the home and confirm size, timeline, and other details.

  • Approval of Sketch and Color Scheme

    I will prepare and provide you with a rough pencil sketch of the home and tentative color scheme. Once you approve, I will create the final painting.

  • Pay Before Shipping

    Once the watercolor house portrait is complete, I will request payment. Once payment is received, your painting will be shipped to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take?

From initial point of contact to completion of your commission, it typically takes between 2-4 months and also depends on whether any commissions are ahead of yours.

Will I get to see it progress?

Yes. After you send me photos and provide any additional information, I will sketch a rough outline of the painting and ask you to approve it before I draw and paint the final version. You will also get to see the final version before completing payment.

Can I request revisions after the piece is completed?

Watercolor is a transparent medium. Although minor adjustments can sometimes be made, it is generally not feasible to paint over or redo parts of a watercolor painting. We will work closely together from the beginning to establish clear expectations and ensure we are on the same page for the final piece.

Can the painting incorporate more than just a house?

People, pets, and vehicles will not be included.

Will it come framed?

All house portrait commissions are unframed.

What sizes are available?

House portraits are currently available in 8x10" or 9x12". If you are interested in a mini painting (4x4", 4x6", or 5x7"), please inquire.

How much does it cost?

Prices start at $200 for all sizes. From there, pricing depends on a number of factors, including size, level of detail, materials, and time.
